Hello! I’m Maria Newhouse, an award-winning photographer based in Kalamazoo, Michigan. I’ve been passionate about photography for as long as I can remember, and in 2019, I took the next step by launching Maria Newhouse Photography.
While I originally focused solely on family photography, I’ve had the wonderful opportunity to expand my repertoire to include dance and sports as well. Since then, I’ve been privileged to work with families, dancers, and athletes, capturing moments that will last a lifetime.
When I’m not behind the camera, I’m at home with my husband, our four children, two cats, and a dog—our doormat proudly says, "It’s basically a zoo in here!" I also work full-time, so I accept a limited number of photography clients, mostly on evenings and weekends.
